Sijainti:
Fixed-term Intensive TreatmentFixed-term and systematic intensive treatment is meant for severely traumatised children and young people showing multiple symptoms, and also for their families. The treatment provided is a combination of traditional children's home care and psychiatric care. Intensive treatment is systematic and the treatment as a whole is provided in the one place. The school for these children is provided, where necessary, at Lastenlinna hospital school. The objective of intensive treatment is to bring about a comprehensive change in the situation involving the child and the child's family. Individual treatment, family work and network work and arranging activities are the centrally important methods of work. A day-time ward was put into use in 2003, and it enables shortening of the treatment period. There is room for about 45 persons in Helsinki and Espoo requiring intensive treatment.
