Together with Elämä on Parasta Huumetta ry (EOPH ry, an NGO), the Helsinki Deaconess Institute offers a 24-hour help-line service for drug abusers and their families as well for professionals who encounter drug use through their work.

The help-line, 0800 900 45, is answered by social-care and health-care professionals who have in-depth knowledge on drug-related issues. Those seeking advice are given information and support in order to get relevant help within the local service network.

The aim is, for instance, to support those seeking advice to gather the courage to speak to their family or to get professional help. The help-line calls are anonymous and free of charge.
