Hankkeen tarkoituksena on lisätä tietoisuutta ihmiskaupasta ja vahvistaa hankkeessa mukana olevien kirkkojen kapasiteettia ihmiskaupan vastaisessa työssä.

The project started in February 2009 and it aims to increase awareness of human trafficking related sexual abuse among the population. The project is linked to the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in Southern Africa. Main activities during 2009-2011 are, among other things, information campaigns carried out together with the target countries as well as education of shelter personnel.

The project's target areas are Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban in South Africa and Windhoek in Namibia. The Deaconess Institute's main local partners are ELCSA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa) and Hope Africa (Anglican Church in Southern Africa).
