Helsingin Diakonissalaitos on vaikeiden yhteiskunnallisten ongelmien asiantuntija ja alan suunnannäyttäjä, jolla on vahva sosiaalinen omatunto. The Helsinki Deaconess Institute is a 143-year-old public utility foundation that provides social and health -care services as well as educational programmes in these fields. The foundation’s public-utility operations cover diaconia services, the Helsinki Diaconia College, development services as well as internal services.

The Helsinki Deaconess Institute Group is formed by the foundation and the fully-owned companies thereof. The most significant subsidiaries are Diacor terveyspalvelut Oy, Helsingin Diakonissalaitoksen Hoiva Oy and Diakoniset kiinteistöpalvelut Oy.
