BRP is a global manufacturer of snowmobiles, ATVs, jet skis, and boats. The company, which has been operating for 80 years, is guided by a strong set of values. In 2022, BRP launched its global corporate cause under the banner of Ride Out Intimidation. Through this program, BRP takes a firm stand against bullying.

Bullying is a common problem both in Finland and around the world. By developing meaningful and powerful partnerships with key experts and organizations in the field, BRP aims to make an impact for three categories of people that too often face bullying: youth in schools, adults in the workplace, and marginalized communities.

Together against bullying with Vamos

BRP participated in the international Stand-Up to Bullying Day on November 15, 2023, and part of the proceeds from this global activation will be donated to Vamos Rovaniemi. Not only does Vamos Rovaniemi’s services and program share the same values as the Ride Out Intimidation program, the organization is also located in Rovaniemi, where several BRP employees are based.

”Through our Ride Out Intimidation program, BRP is proud to support Vamos Rovaniemi’s mission to build trust and foster inclusion in a location where we have a significant pool of employees.” says Christine Babkine, Director Corporate Social Responsibility at BRP.

“This collaboration reflects our unwavering commitment to act against intimidation. We believe that through education and awareness, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for today and tomorrow’s generations.” Babkine continues.

BRP believes that inclusivity starts where intimidation ends. As an employer and a strong presence in multiple communities around the world, BRP wants to inspire and contribute to behavior change. The company wants to do their part to ensure children can grow up in an environment that encourages development and learning, and that workplaces and communities are exempt from bullying.

”We at Vamos Rovaniemi are very grateful for the donation and that we can use the funds specifically for anti-bullying work for the benefit of local youth. We share the same values with BRP and both want to support people in the most vulnerable situations. It’s great to continue cooperation on important themes in the future as well.” says Minna Kestilä-Suopajärvi, the Service Manager of Vamos Rovaniemi.
