Mentor family activity

In the mentor family volunteer program young people who came to Finland as unaccompanied minors can experience Finnish family life and learn Finnish language. Having safe and trustworthy adults in the young person’s life improves their wellbeing and supports integration.

Non-native Finnish speakers are welcome to our activity! However, many young people hope to practice their Finnish skills with the mentor families.

Families of all kinds can become mentor families. The initiative is voluntary and both mentors and mentees receive training.
